Set up Rotation song requests

Viewers request, chat votes, you stay in control, and the stream shows what's playing. Here's the loop end to end.

1 Connect Rotation

Start at aquilo.gg/rotation and connect your channel, that's the one-time OAuth step that lets the bot see requests and post to chat.

2 Open the moderator page

The Rotation config pages give you and your mods a live queue view. Approve, reorder, or clear. In Discord, mods can also wipe the pre-queue any time with /sr-clear.

3 Warm the queue before stream

Run /rotation-poll new in Discord with two to five options and let the community vote on the opening vibe; /rotation-poll close locks it in. The winner seeds the pre-queue before you're even live.

4 Put now-playing on stream

Add the Rotation overlay as a Browser source (the OBS guide covers it) so viewers always see the current track, and there are Stream Deck icons in the Rotation pages if you drive your stream from one.

Good to know

  • Jukebox is the community half. The Jukebox page is where viewers hang out with the music between streams.
  • Keep requests healthy. Length and duplicate rules live in the Rotation config. Tune them once and the queue polices itself.
